Cartoon of Alan standing with his hands on his hips

Hi, I'm Alan 👋

I work with primary schools in Knowsley on computing, online safety and AI. The job splits into four: writing lessons, training staff, advising leaders on policy, and building the tools that make the other three quicker.

This site is where I put what I've made, so any school can use it without asking me first. It's all free. When I plan a lesson I look for free apps, so no school gets priced out, and for something that works on iPad, Chromebook and Windows alike.

I'm keen on technology and straight about its limits, its cost and its risks.

Outside school I'm interested in the arts, history, philosophy, politics, film and science. They end up in my training, because an analogy from outside education usually lands better than one from inside it.
